InspectionDay

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 25, 2026

Inspection Day is a property-inspection scheduling and coordination platform for real estate professionals and inspection vendors. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who helps us provide the service, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Information may include account and contact details, property information, buyer or client contact information entered by a real estate professional, vendor contact information, inspection scheduling information, availability responses, access instructions, and records of SMS consent.

When you or an inspector upload inspection reports, we store the report files and the text extracted from them. If you use Inspection AI, we also store the findings it produces and your review decisions (approved, corrected, or excluded). If you share a buyer brief or report link, we record when the link was created and viewed.

How We Use Information

Information is used to coordinate property inspections, request vendor availability, send scheduling confirmations and reminders, organize inspection schedules, and operate and improve the service.

Inspection AI

When you ask Inspection AI to analyze a report, the report's text (and, for scanned reports, page images) is sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, to identify the findings the inspector reported. Reports are sent with data retention for model improvement turned off, and are not used to train AI models. Inspection AI organizes what the inspector wrote; it is not an inspection, and it is not legal, engineering, or professional advice. Findings are shared with a client only after you review and approve them.

Access Instructions and Contact Details

Property access instructions and buyer contact details you enter are shared with the inspectors you assign to that property so they can complete the inspection.

SMS and Mobile Information

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in information are used to send transactional inspection-scheduling communications. Mobile information and SMS consent records are not sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers may process information only as needed to provide communications, hosting, security, and related platform services.

SMS Choices

Recipients may reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages and HELP for help. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply.

Service Providers

We use these providers to run the service. Each processes information only to provide its service to us:

We do not sell personal information.

Data Security and Retention

Inspection Day is designed to use reasonable safeguards to protect information and retain it only as reasonably necessary for scheduling, operational, legal, and compliance purposes. Each account's data is kept separate from other accounts, report files are stored privately and opened only through expiring links, and passwords are stored as one-way hashes.

Your Choices

You can update your account details in Settings. To request a copy of your data or to delete your account, uploaded reports, and Inspection AI results, email us at support@inspectionday.co. We will respond within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal or compliance reasons (for example, SMS consent records).
